7.6 billion euro is provided by the European Commission for the development of new transport projects

The European Commission expects proposals for new transportation projects for the “Connected Europe” program for whose objectives are granted 7.6 billion euro, of which 6.5 billion euro are allocated for countries eligible to Cohesion Fund.  

Except Bulgaria a right to participate have Greece, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and Czech Republic.  

The European commissioner for transport - Violeta Bulc said that among the objectives of the mechanism are creating jobs and promoting the economic growth.
